Project of Producting 1117 Numerical Photogrammetric and Ortophoto Map
With a Scale of 1/5000
By using numerical photogrammetrics and ortophoto map with a scale of 1/5000 project datas have been formed.
- 1117 present time map sheet
- 1117 ortophoto map
- 1117 UVDF,xml files have been formed.
- Coordinating geotiff mosaic with twelve pieces
- 32 present time district maps
- Middle road lines
- Buildings have been produced as a closed area
Project of Product 12150 Numerical Photogrammetric and Ortophoto Map with a Scale of 1/1000
Flying has been realized using digital camera for production of a map with a scale of 1/1000 by choosing suitable blockes in obvious district. To compare with analogue and digital camera,the production of analogue has been decided to be suitable.It has been decided digital flying can be suitable on flat areas,areas with few settlement,but digital flying can't be suitable on forests and areas with high buildings.
Project area is 5500 km².The area has been seperated to two parts,they are Asian and European sides. Production of European side's 7700 sheets has been finished by using 12150 numerical photogrammetric map. Asian side's 4450 sheets production have been continued.
WORKS ABOUT REMOTE SENSING
Map Works With Satellite Photos
Updated and high resoluted IKONOS satellite photos conducted together with İSKİ (İstanbul Water and Sewage Works) in İstanbul city borders.
It has been continued for using satellite photographing,at first for planning low structure Project,controlling and watching public works, address data system. Since July 2003,satellite photos has been taken by periodical times and at last September 2007 POID vision has been taken.
If directorates ask to obatin satellite photos, their demands can be assured.
SATELLITE PHOTOS USING FOR CIS WORKS
- By using the satellite photos,it's possible for the old vector data to be updated for planning and for the development in the city and basins to be watched in a fast way,identifying illegal drinking water basins.

WORKS ABOUT CITY GUIDE
Consisting of İstanbul's streets and roads, historical and touristic states, prominiade places, health,education and religion foundations,offical buildings,etc. has been shown in the city guide book and it has been interrogated on CD.İstanbul guide map and 32 district's guide maps with a scale of 1:100.000 and 1:175.000 and 20 parts of İstanbul map with a scale of 1:25.000 have been pressed as colourful ofset press.
Geographical Information Unit Works
- İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality Geographical Information Systems Directorate manages the ‘locational database' which is used jointly by IMM units, the needed system resources and technical services.
- Makes the necessary arrangements for datas to be produced according to the ‘Data Model' and to build the relations between datas.
- Forms the necessary method and procedures for data sharing and does the authorizations.
- Forms the necessary metadata information to charactarize the data quality.
- Setups desktop or Internet based application interfaces of different data entry, data inquiry or inventory works based on the needs of the users.

Istanbul City Guide
A ‘City Guide' has been prepared with geographical datas' satellite images and weather photographs. İstanbul City Guide with area of 5500 km2 has been produced with Ikonos Satellite image of 1 meter resolution and weather photographs of 1/5000 scale 30cm of resolution. It relies on the principle of 4 million picture with coordinate and scale being stored in folder based system and published on the internet quickly. 1.5 million building, business place, important places (school, hospital, pharmacy, municipality), 80,000 street information, important acitivities, current events and historical sites of İstanbul can be interrogated and it can be seen in 10 different scales between 1:500.000 and 1:750 with this application. From the ‘Search' menu on application interface;

Infrastructure Excavation-License, Address Information Update, Interrogation of 1/5000 scaled Nazım Zone Plan, Vehicle Navigation System Web Programs are being prepared.
